Lori has been an integral part of Shades of Green for 10 years, serving as the Office Manager and earning the affectionate title of "mom" to everyone at work. Her leadership helps to keep the team running smoothly. Outside of the office, Lori cherishes time with her grandkids, who are always excited to visit "Nini's" house.

Blake brings eight years of expertise in lawn care and groundskeeping to our team, having recently earned the role of Team Lead this season. He plays a vital role in coordinating with our technicians and training new employees. His commitment is to deliver unparalleled customer service and to meticulously care for our customers’ lawns as if it were his own. Outside of work, Blake enjoys quality time with his wife and daughter.

Antonio holds a Master's Degree in Turfgrass Science from Purdue University and has a background in Horticulture and Landscape Architecture. He has extensive experience in turf management thanks to his time working in Italy and California.

Outside of work, Antonio enjoys spending quality time with his girlfriend, going for runs, and following the excitement of motor racing.

Kevin is a lifelong West Lafayette resident and Purdue grad. He has been in the lawn care business for almost 20 years. Kevin enjoys supporting the community as an Audio Engineer for the evening news at the local WLFI-TV 18 station.

In his spare time, Kevin has a passion for international travel - specifically tracking down dormant volcanoes and touring with a professional prog-rock band.

Kenzie has spent the last five years in marketing, live production, and video editing. When she is not creating content, she is holding down the fort as an office assistant - keeping everything organized and the wheels turning.

In her free time, Kenzie can be found working out, piddling around in her yard, or spending time with family. Her niece and nephew always keep life entertaining, with family time being her happy place.

Are your pest control measures pet-friendly?

Of course! The chemicals used to control pests are totally harmless to traditional pets, such as cats and dogs. The pest control chemical is known as a neonicotinoid, which targets a neurological pathway only found in insects.

How long should I stay off the lawn after an application?

If a liquid application was applied, we ask that you stay off the lawn until it is dry to the touch. This is usually about 1-2 hours.

When is the best time to have my lawn seeded?

According to Purdue University’s Turfgrass Science Department, the optimum time to seed a lawn is between August 15 and September 15—late summer through early Fall.

Why is aeration important to my yard?

Aeration is one of the most important practices in lawn care. The main goal with aeration is to relieve soil compaction. This allows for better, healthier root development which is the foundation of a healthy lawn. Another benefit of an aerated lawn is it will be easier for the soil to absorb rain and moisture, allowing the lawn to endure drought-like conditions easier. A good rule of thumb is one aeration service a year is maintaining, while 2 aeration services a year is improving soil conditions.

Can I switch my lawn care package at any time?

Yes! You can switch your package at any time. However, it is recommended to stay with your program for a year to achieve best results. You can also upgrade services such as aerations and overseeding mid-season.
